Manager Spotlight: Angela Mack

. Although she’s originally from Texas, Angela has brought her spunk and personality to Louisiana for nearly 10 years.
Her outstanding customer service is just one of the reasons we’re shining the spotlight on Angela this month. Join us in getting to know more about her, including what she loves to do when she’s not wearing her manager hat.
What’s your role as a Move It Self Storage Property Manager?
I make sure the property is run efficiently, it’s clean, customers are satisfied, and they feel like they’re wanted and
are at home.
You’re coming up on your one-year anniversary with Move It. How does that feel? What are you looking to accomplish in the coming years?
July will be my one year anniversary. I love it! I couldn’t ask for a better job or a better company to work for. I have met my goals way above and beyond anyone could have expected. As soon as someone moves out, we are moving them back in.
What do you enjoy most about your position/working for Move It?
I enjoy everything about the job – from the customers to my assistant manager – everything. There is nothing not to like about Move It. And I want to make sure my assistant Manager, Wendy, gets a shout out. I couldn’t do this without her.
Also, the customers themselves are awesome. They come in and cheer you up and make your day.
What are some things people might not know about storage or being the manager of a self storage facility?
This role is more than what meets the eye. I am very big on patience and wish everyone understood we are here to help them find the perfect storage unit for their situation and assist with anything else they need, like moving supplies
, a moving truck rental
, or telling them about all the different types of storage we offer.
It also takes more than just knowing the size of a unit or knowing where the unit is located. We want to make sure we give you the right everything – including an overall great experience.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work when you don’t have your manager hat on?
I love spending time with my family. I have four kids, a husband, and a dog. When I’m not at work, I am doing something with my family, whether it’s school related, sports related, or a family outing. I’m mostly a homebody unless I’m doing something with my kids outside of the house.
Our favorite thing to do as a family is fishing. It’s very relaxing and more of a leisure. We’ll catch any kind of fish on the river and scale and cook them ourselves. Tony Chachere’s
is one of the seasonings we always use on the fish we catch – it’s really good!
Any fun facts you want to share about yourself?
I am a very well-rounded and understanding person and work hard to help everyone. If you are kind and have patience, that can take you a long way. It’s like that saying, “you can get more bees with honey than vinegar.” If you are sweet, you can get more accomplished.
