Traditionalists love a classic boat regatta, and that's what the 43rd Opera Cup House Regatta offers. Happening on Nantucket Island on Aug. 16, you won't want to miss the beautiful sailboats in a classic race.
The Regatta was the first of its kind on the East Coast, attracting all wooden boats. Many prestigious boats have been a part of the Opera Cup House Regatta, but the event is even more exciting this year as it is the final event of the Nantucket Race Week, wrapping up a fun week of racing events. Partake in a party post-Regatta with over 1,000 guests and music, food, and raffles. If you'd like to participate in the Regatta, go here for the entry form.
With much more than the Regatta going on during Race Week, it's the perfect time to visit Nantucket Island, whether you come every summer or you are visiting for the first time. Race Week offers you the chance to see many of the country's most beautiful boats all together at the same time, and there are plenty of ways to enjoy the island, from enjoying the beaches, going on a bike ride, playing a round of golf, or doing some shopping.
Nantucket Island offers visitors the opportunity to check out amazing lighthouses, museums, and exciting nightlife.
If you live on the mainland and hate dragging your boating and summer supplies back and forth during the warmer months, consider self storage. You may not have any additional space at home to store your boat, Jet Ski, skis, pool floats, fishing poles, and life jackets, and self storage gives you the space you need to store your summer supplies year round.
Contact Nantucket Storage Center to find out more about our self storage options. We keep all of our units climate controlled to ensure safe storage of your belongings and have units of various sizes for your convenience.
