A storage auction is a public event that folks from all over attend, in order to make bids on the content of storage units that are long abandoned by the original tenant. It’s not something we enjoy doing, but it does help us regain lost rent and clean out the unit for another person who needs it.
We hold these auctions at our locations throughout the Southern part of the country, and we welcome people from all backgrounds to attend. It doesn’t matter if you’re an experienced bidder or new on the scene; there’s something here for everyone.
It works like this: we post information on the next auction on the auction calendar, like which location it will take place and at what time. You won’t know the contents of the unit prior to the start of the bidding, but once the auction begins we will open the unit and you are allowed to look inside. You won’t be able to go in the unit, but just being able to see the contents will give you a good idea of what’s inside. Bidding will go until the highest bidder is determined, when no one else submits a higher offer. Remember that you need to pay your bid in full in cash when the auction is closed.
These rules and more will be explained at the start of each auction, as well, so don’t worry about not knowing how it works. The auction calendar will be updated on a regular basis, but we can’t always update it well in advance. Make sure you frequently check for new information on this page.
